Flagstone walkways and driveway edges disappear at dusk. We install low-profile brass path lights at 8- to 12-foot intervals, angled 15° off-axis so the beam grazes the stone surface rather than blinding the eye. The result: a lit corridor that reads as invitation, not interrogation.

Stone that glows.
Limestone and stucco facades carry texture that flat floodlights destroy. We use asymmetric wall-wash fixtures mounted 12 to 18 inches off the surface, letting the beam rake across every ridge and recess. Soffit downlights frame entry doors without the harsh center-of-ceiling look that makes a home feel like a parking garage.

Zone Three — The Living Space
Patio, pool, pergola — all night.
A $60,000 patio renovation deserves to be used after 7 p.m. We layer three fixture types in every outdoor room: step lights under risers so grade changes read safely, in-deck well lights at pool edges to define the water plane, and above-pergola downlights that replicate the dappled quality of late-afternoon sun through a canopy.

Trees that own the night.
A mature live oak is a 40-year investment. We install adjustable brass spike-mount uplights at the drip line — not the trunk — aiming a 15° narrow spot into the canopy so every branching tier is sculpted independently. For larger properties we add moonlighting fixtures 20 feet up in the crown, casting the soft downward spill of a full moon through the leaves.
